For beautiful eyes,
look for the good in others
For beautiful lips,
speak only words of kindness
And for poise,
walk in the knowledge that
You are never alone

Audrey Hepburn

Summer is upon us.  Yes, it is time for bar-b-ques, beaches, fun, vacations and warmth.  We deserve it, don't we!  It is also time for bad hair days, complaining because it is too hot or too humid, too much sun...
but wait, weren't we just complaining about the cold and snow?

It really is all a matter of how we view things isn't it?  I know that I am glad it is summer.  After all, if I get too hot, I can find air conditioning and cool down.  No matter how hot I feel, the heat does not have to be shoveled away after putting on layers and layers of insulation.
Yes, summer is welcomed!

Enjoy the moment, whatever moment you are in.  Look for the good.  This quote by Audrey Hepburn is thought provoking and holds so much insight.

Even if there is someone in your life who is offensive, or rubs you the wrong way, you can lighten that negative impact on your life.  Looking for the good in others helps is a good thing and you will be more beautiful for it!  We are all created in his image, he has put good in every one. Yes  you can find the good if you choose to, then the words of kindness are there for you to offer.

Everyone loves encouragement.  When we offer words of kindness, we offer encouragement and take part in affirming another’s self-esteem.  Oh, how that not only helps them, but you too!  How good do you feel after you see someone smile knowing that you just lifted their countenance?  It lightens up both of you.

To be beautiful, see the beautiful in others and let them know it!

Always remember, you are never alone!  All you need to do is hold on to the hand of the God who loves you and sees the best in you.

Nevertheless, am continually with you; you hold my right hand. Psalm 73:23 ESV

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isiah 54:10 ESV

May your day be beautiful !

Winter Wonderland...again?

There are many of us this year that have been experiencing a good deal of snow and cold weather.   As pretty as it can be, I wonder, if like me, you are feeling enough is enough already!   As the sun always shines after a storm, Spring will follow the winter and arrive soon.  After all, aren't we always amazed at how quickly time passes?

Winter weather is tough on your skin; between the outside elements and the heat in our homes and offices, it can all have a major effect on our skin.  You really need to be nourishing and hydrating your skin with ingredients that offer hydration and then make sure you are also protecting as well.  After cleansing, toning and moisturizing, adding a good foundation with nourishing ingredients will protect your skin as well as cover any imperfections and make you feel more confident.

Here you can answer questions about your skin and get a customized list of what will be best for your skin.  This Skin Care Analysis will customize for you according to your skin type and any symptoms you might have.   http://www.motivescosmetics.com/emg/index.cfm?action=services.csSCAHome&refEmail=&switchPrdCountry=USA. While you are there,  you can always add some Cashmere (Mineral Lipstick) to warm up, or. you can wait a few weeks to see the newer spring Long lasting Moisture Rick shades coming out.  There is nothing like a new lip color or eye shadow to cheer me up!

Whether you are enjoying a winter wonderland, wishing you had a winter wonderland, or just wishing it would end, it is always encouraging to add something to your routine that will inspire that timeless beauty within!   God Bless.

Summer is upon us!

Ahhh, the dog days of summer; those lazy, hazy, crazy days...say what?  Our lives are busy as always, summer or not, aren't they!  Kids are home, we want to do things and see everyone.  Time just keeps whizzing by no matter what the season.

We need to protect our skin and our hair as we are out and about.  Our daily routine needs to be simple so we can do it fast.  It is not so hard, cleanse, tone and moisturize every morning, then protect!  I love this sunscreen, it is a product I am not afraid to apply to my face.  Spectrum SPF 50+   (depending on which moisturizer I use, and how much I will actually be in the sun, it may be in my foundation)
Cellular Laboratories® De-Aging Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+
Next my Brown Sugar Creme Eyeshadow (my personal favorite when I am trying to make it all happen quickly), mascara, a brushing from my browkit,  and I am ready to run out the door, lipshine in hand.  Quick and simple, great start to a full day, whether I am running around all day or lazing around, a hat on my hair I am protected and glowing.

Now, to keep my cool, a spritz of makeup setting spray, which may be found in my purse at any time to refresh me if I am feeling the heat (yes, it actually lowers your body temperature)  All and more available from www.timelessbeauty4u.com.

Enjoy your holiday weekend, enjoy your friends and family.  As you go out to barbecues, watch parades, enjoy the beaches,  boating, parks, or what ever you are doing, keep your cool and remember the great nation that we celebrate next week and the work the founding fathers did to get our freedom and liberty.

GOD BLESS YOU AND THE USA!

Skin Care

Skin Care
What is your skin care regime?  Do you have special needs or concerns?  No matter what your skin type, you need to  use a toner following your cleanser.  Cleansing you skin changes the ph of your skin.  Not to be scientific with you, using toner will bring your ph back to normal so that your skin will be better able to absorb your moisturizer.

If you visit www,timelessbeauty4u.com you will be able to take a free skin care analysis with recommendations based on the answers you give to your skin.  We also have kits available that give you a discount on packages such as a 29% savings on Timeless Prescription® and Skintelligence®     Value Kit (which pulls several top recommended products from two of our lines) or 22% for Cellular Laboratories® Value Kit.

What I love about our skin care is that they are made to synergistically work together, even if you pull from different lines.  I personally use Cellular Labs De-Ageing Crème at night and Lumiere de Vie during the day.

So, back to skin care and the “how to”…you need to cleanse, tone, moisturize and use sun block EVERY DAY.  The burning effects of the sun (uvb rays) will penetrate glass, which means, even if you are in your care, you are setting yourself up for “sun damage” no matter what your age.  If it is not in your skin care or foundation, you need to add it to
your skin care regimen.

Summer is upon us, take good care of your skin and it will take care of your beauty timelessly.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!

We are currently visiting Knoxville TN where our son is attending Johnson University.  It is encouraging to come here from the northeast where we recently had two feet of snow.

As we drive along the roads, near and in the Smoky Mountains, it is beautiful.  I have seen hints of pink on trees and daffodils in bloom...a picture of what lies ahead for us in NY.

After winter, thoughts of the renewal of Spring is lovely and encouraging.  Spring is a gift!  God has given us so many gifts and the changing seasons is one.  Spring is refreshing and a good time to come out of hibernation.

For some, like myself it is a time to refocus on how I fuel my body and how I use up the fuel I put into it.   I look forward to leisurely walks, energetic walks, but most of all spending time out in the beautiful world God has given me to enjoy!

As I start to enjoy the outside, work to be more fit (reminding my self of my one word for the year is Intentional) I will intentionally be making decisions for making my beauty to come from the inside out.  My prayer is for inward beauty to shine as I make choices in life this spring.

Keep your Cool!

The weather in the north east has been beautiful; good for walking and working outside.  We should be heating up in the next few days.  The heat makes us slow down a bit, which isn't such a bad thing, is it.  Sometimes we need a little push to go in that direction.

If you work out, run, walk, bike, it is best to hit it early; I say this as opposed to late because the sun is out so early...it's a good thing.  Make sure to hydrate with plenty of water before, after and throughout the day
TWO OF MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS TO HELP ME FEEL REFRESHED WHEN I AM HOT:

Skintelligence® pH Skin Normalizerhttp://www.shop.com/Skintelligence+reg+pH+Skin+Normalizer-559053511-p+.xhtml
This, kept in the refrigerator, refreshes me when I am hot and bothered by the heat.  It contains antioxidants and all good things so it has added benefits other than cooling you and adding a little extra moisture.  This product also is helpful if you have a headache because of the Lemongrass Extract.

Motives® 10 Years Younger Makeup Setting Spray
http://www.shop.com/Motives+reg+10+Years+Younger+Makeup+Setting+Spray-536366061-p+.xhtml
This I cannot say enough about!  It keeps your makeup fresh looking longer (very important in high heat and humidity)... but keep it in your purse to spritz when you get hot.  Not only helps your body temperature drop, keeps your makeup from settling into fine lines as it keeps skin hydrated.  You can find many more age defying products and tips at http://www.timelessbeauty4u.biz/

With summer upon us this week, long hot days ahead, I will do my best to keep my cool, especially while at the same time I am implementing a routine fitness program into my lifestyle.

May your days be blessed and may your beauty continue both from the inside and on the surface.  See within yourself the beauty God has bestowed in you!

The beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.  Audrey Hepburn

BACK ON TRACK

It is definately time for me to get back on track with this blog... it has been far too long!  I am just coming down from a very exciting weekend in Australia.  As a matter of fact, my husband and I have been here for nearly three weeks already and ill be heading back home one week from today.
As our body clocks have been turned upside down, sleep is prime importance to us.  We are getting into this time zone and will be turning ourselves back upside down again.  Sleep is so important for our mental and physical well being!  As soon as we get home, we have this waiting for us... http://www.marketamerica.com/index.cfm?action=shopping.wpGoShopProducts&skuID=13123
Did you know that a lack of sleep can actually accelerate the aging process.  As we enter our prime years, we seem to have a harder time sleeping through the night.  Drugs are not a good solution because there can also be so many side effects from them.
So, if you are having trouble sleeping through the night, why not look for better ways to sleep through.  Make a regular bedtime routine, perhaps a nice relaxing bath to clam down. (Much better than an action filled TV program, wouldn't you think?)  Then you can read something to encourage you and finally, if that does not work for you, go the natural route.  Created with new technological breakthroughs in the anti-aging field, Prime Dreamz is a unique product designed for anyone who is having trouble with restful sleep.  It contains Magnesium (a mineral many of us are short on) along with herbs that will help you fall into a restful deep sleep and wake up in great form.
Get your beauty sleep to feel refreshed, energized and look your best!

For Your Heart and More Leading Anti Aging Drs. Recommend Omega III

On Saturday our church ladies had a presentation by The Long Island chapter of Women Heart.  (http://womensheart.org/) This presentation told me much of what I knew, but more importantly, was a strong reminder of what I need to DO.  One of the women presenting to us had a heart attack at 59, with her only symptom being fatigue and a little indigestion (something that we all experience at times).   I have concluded things do need to be changed in our lives.  Some of the foods we eat need to be eliminated and regular exercise increased.  These are not things we haven't done before, so, I know we can do it again; it just needs to become a permanent part of our lives.

One day after this talk, my husband said "You know, you really should take Omega 3 every day."    He showed me an article, with facts about its affect on cardiovascular health, like this statement from Don Colbert, MD "Omega 3 improves circulation. Helps lower triglyceride levels. Protects your heart. Improves joint movement and promotes brain Health" I do know this, but, I tend to forget taking my pills. I love to drink my vitamins, but, not so with swallowing pills. Then just to reinforce and motivate me a bit more,  I researched and found an article by the Mayo Clinic~~the top five foods for lowering cholesterol  listed as #2~~you got it! Fish. Not ones like the common mass farmed Tilapia; the ones best for Omega 3 like lake trout, Salmon, halibut...(http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/cholesterol/CL00002). I know this; I teach it; I also know that it can help with weight management and joints and so many other things....
picking this topic up five days later....
My knees had been bothering me going upstairs. Two days after taking my Omega three daily...I noticed going upstairs I wasn't feeling the pain. Coincidence? I think not; the day I did not take....pain back. So this week we had fish 4 times, I took my Omega, and took better care of my heart and the heart of my husband. ❤
I just want to add this, Market America's Heart Health Essential Omega III with vitamin E is a superior product for a number of reasons. Most comercial products contain only a third of the actual fish oils this product contains. It 's fish oil only comes from the small fish, which will not contain the amount of toxins as large fish.  You can read about the uniqueness of the product by clicking here:

So, this week we have increased our exercise, eaten more fish, I have been diligent about taking my Omega 3.  It has been a good week.

LEMON AID!

So good for you!
Looking to have a fresh start to spring? Yes it is on its way...Get a fresh start! Does drinking lemon water daily sound exciting to you? I did not think it would, but there are amazing benefits to this little citrus fruit squeezed into water. Besides being Vitamin C rich, it also contains vitamin B, has calcium, riboflavin, magnesium, just to name a few nutrients.
Too much cozying up next to the fire with hot chocolate and cookies this winter could be cause for your spring wardrobe fitting little snug. Adding lemon water daily can assist you in any weight loss program. It paves the road to quicker weight loss; it will help your body to eliminate toxins, cleanse and even help with some of your aches and pains because it is a diuretic. A great way to start your morning would be to take hot water (I use my biggest water glass) and squeeze half a lemon into it, before you have caffeine. If you cannot contemplate plain water and lemon, add a bit of agave nectar or honey. If you start out with a smaller piece of lemon, your taste buds will grow to accept it without sweetener, so I would recommend just try it that way. When I was on a veggie detox, starting my day with this, on about the fourth or fifth day it actually tasted sweet. I read a recommendation to actually do this twice a day; I may try that because there are so many other benefits to doing so.
It will help your complexion, keep you regular, aid in digestion, its antibacterial properties can help with sore throats and respiratory issues (I actually wipe down my wood cutting board with it rather than soap--then lightly rub in Mineral Oil~that is an extraJ), helps lower blood pressure and relax the mind (stress reduction), and, the pectin can also assist in cholesterol lowering. There are too many benefits as far as I can see to not incorporate this into daily intake. Why, it sounds like sitting down and relaxing with a nice cup of tea as my grandmother used to enjoyJ, not discounting the benefits of green tea here of course, but her tea consisted of lots of sugar and milk taking the benefits away other than it was her method to relax.

So, get your system ready for the freshness of spring. Start your day cleansing and purifying; add to that an exercise routine, healthy eating, and, you will be off on the right foot. When you bring out your spring wardrobe, it will still fit; as an added benefit you just might also have glowing skin to match it. Did I mention anti-aging as well? TimelessBeauty4U!

Protect your heart this Valentine’s Day | Isotonix
Above is a link with a write up verifying what I originally said.  Take care of your heart and your love's heart this Valentines Day.  My Salad suggestion was not only loaded with tomatoes, but also Omega rich avocado.  Avocado also contains Folate and Vitamin E for heart health and cancer prevention, assists in lowering colesterol levels.  Some recommend an avocado a day, I even use it in place of mayonnaise.  You can google health benefits of avocado, this link even tells you the best way to peel them in order to get the most nutrition
out of your fruit.  http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=5  WebMD also has great information.  As you add avocado, you will be eating something good for your heart and also good for your skin.  Timeless beauty for you!  Enjoy

Set the Mood this Valentines Day

Valentines day is next week.  Are you ready?  Last year in lieu of going out to a restaurant, I decided I wanted to prepare a special meal at home.  It was beautiful, we were alone and not in a room full of strangers, I controlled our food quantity and seasonings.  I saw this on my husband's calendar several weeks ago "dinner with Cindy", so I am now thinking about what to do.  If he is planning something, I would not want to rob him of his blessing.  I may do my meal on Sunday, but we do go out often.  We actually just got home from a week in the sun with a couple of special dinners out.  When ever I do make our special meal, my menu has not been decided; but I do know I will be making Red Velvet cup cakes
(especially since I found silicone heart shaped cup cake molds).
The following link is a blog with a very interesting recipe~~ http://bestcupcakerecipes.blogspot.com/2009/02/red-velvet-cupcake-recipe.html.
Had I not found the heart molds I think I would be making Red Velvet Whoopie Pies (I'll try it some other time) http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/cousin-jonnies-red-velvet-whoopee-pies-recipe/index.html.  Well, enough about me and what I will make, this is for you.

We all want to set the mood for romance, don't we.  We will fix our hair to our best ability, put on our
make-up, his favorite dress or outfit, light a scented candle (by the way...if you are preparing a scrumptious meal and filling the house with great aroma of cooking, you don't want to compete with it), set the table with your good china.  It doesn't have to be a complicated meal.  A simple Shrimp Scampi (look on line for recipes~~you should be able find a simple one), some grilled or roasted asparagus topped with some slivered almonds, salad of cut up avocado, tomato (about equal parts), a little arugula, thinly sliced red onion or shallots on top, and a simple balsamic vinaigrette. Just make it something out of the ordinary and it will be special.  I almost always google recipes, read several and come up with my own ideas from what I see.

Now, if you are in the season of life with young kids at home, you may need to be creative for a solution for a romantic evening alone.  How about trading kids with a friend on Saturday and Sunday night; you will each have one quiet night alone.  When the kids are over, opt for chicken nuggets and pasta salad with broccoli and bow-ties or mac and cheese.  With a little bit of advanced planning, you can set the mood for a quiet romantic evening at home, whether it be on Valentines Day or any other day.  You have all that is needed for a timelessly beautiful evening.  Make the magic happen.  Have a truly beautiful celebration of your love.

 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God;
and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born)
of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him].
1 John 4: 7 Amplified Version

Time for a cleanse?

With all of the holiday goodies I am sure as I, many of you are feeling this would be a good time to clean out, both your cabinets (my left over cookies have found their way into the freezer) and your system.  This morning I realized that I was hungry for lunch too soon...a sign that I have been enjoying too many holiday treats (which included several brunches of way too much breakfast food, not the type I am used to).  Over the holiday period most Americans tend to gain weight, a fact that many just seem to shrug off.

If you have ever lost any considerable amount of weight, you don't really need the scale to tell you to when to watch out; your clothes will inform you that it is time.  So, now my days are looking like I will be refilling my herbal tea cups often (that way I am sure to get extra water...I am loving Yogi Peach Detox Tea...today it is Chrysanthemum Tea which has choline and that aids in fat metabolism); the teas help to calm because they have no caffiine. There have also been a lot of soups and salads served at my home lately.  I will eat better and drink lots of clear fluid to help my system cleanse from the abuse I gave it the last few months.

Consider your body, it is the temple of God; consider what you are putting into it.  Even if you eat only fresh (if you are fortunate enough to find them) raw fruits and veggies, there would still the air you breathe to consider.  I like to cleanse myself a couple of times a year; this is one time I am just getting ready to do it.  Just think about all that you do clean on a regular basis, such as hair, skin, teeth... so, why not cleanse the inside of our bodies.  More than half of our immune cells are located within our digestive tracts; that would be where our ability to fight off colds and flu begins.  Generally, our bodies were not designed to handle the toxins of today, either in what we eat, what we breath, or even what is absorbed through our largest organ, our skin.  Clearing out the toxins inside is a good thing to do; this is a good way to start off our new year to give our goals a jump and a head start.

We should do it through our food choices and we can assist it in other ways.  Nutriclean®  7 Day Cleansing and Detoxification System is a great way to promote good digestive health and cleanse out your system.  To complement that we also carry Ultimate Aloe® juice with added nutrients and enzymes for your health.

You know that you will be more beautiful when you start from the inside out.  You will feel better, sleep better, have more energy, it is all good!

It is the month before Christmas

Last evening my husband and I were at COSTCO picking up a few items (yes, it was a few since we have been doing so much on line this year www.marketamerica.com/emg for cash back shopping:).  As we were standing by the Christmas lights, two boys walked by, about 10 or 11 years old.  Much to our surprise, behind us one of them said "Have a very Merry Christmas."  Just before they were leaving my sight I called out "Why, you do the same."  I do hope that they took my greeting to heart and not as a means of sarcasm.  I realized after saying it, in todays climate of political correctness, it could be taken either way.

Today, this appeared in my email.  I remember this poem from years ago and thought it appropriate to share.  If you are Jewish, my wish is for you is a Happy Chanukah; you would not have a merry Christmas.  If you are Christian, I wish you a Merry Christmas.

It is sad, years ago it did not matter, it was a greeting of cheer and warmth; I still see it as such.  So in my greeting, if you are not a Christian, I mean no disrespect, just a greeting of cheer.  If you are a Christian, this comes with a different meaning because He is the reason for the Season.  So as you wonder at the beauty of the Christmas tree and lights, it is because "God so loved the world" that we have them to enjoy!  May God richly bless you this special time of year and Merry Christmas.
TWAS THE MONTH BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.

See the PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas -- no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About shepherds and wise men and angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say --
December 25th is just a "holiday."
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit,
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X Box, and I-Pod,
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanza
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word "Christmas" was nowhere to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penney's and Sears,
You won't hear the word "Christmas" -- it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, now Darden, now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen,
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!

At the top of the Senate there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith,
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded,
The Reason for the Season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "winter break" under your "dream tree,"
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say,
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ... not Happy Holiday!

Please, all Christians join together, take a stand and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is ‘The Reason’ for the Christ-mas Season!
