It is the month before Christmas

Last evening my husband and I were at COSTCO picking up a few items (yes, it was a few since we have been doing so much on line this year www.marketamerica.com/emg for cash back shopping:).  As we were standing by the Christmas lights, two boys walked by, about 10 or 11 years old.  Much to our surprise, behind us one of them said "Have a very Merry Christmas."  Just before they were leaving my sight I called out "Why, you do the same."  I do hope that they took my greeting to heart and not as a means of sarcasm.  I realized after saying it, in todays climate of political correctness, it could be taken either way.

Today, this appeared in my email.  I remember this poem from years ago and thought it appropriate to share.  If you are Jewish, my wish is for you is a Happy Chanukah; you would not have a merry Christmas.  If you are Christian, I wish you a Merry Christmas.

It is sad, years ago it did not matter, it was a greeting of cheer and warmth; I still see it as such.  So in my greeting, if you are not a Christian, I mean no disrespect, just a greeting of cheer.  If you are a Christian, this comes with a different meaning because He is the reason for the Season.  So as you wonder at the beauty of the Christmas tree and lights, it is because "God so loved the world" that we have them to enjoy!  May God richly bless you this special time of year and Merry Christmas.
TWAS THE MONTH BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.

See the PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas -- no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About shepherds and wise men and angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say --
December 25th is just a "holiday."
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit,
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X Box, and I-Pod,
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanza
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word "Christmas" was nowhere to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penney's and Sears,
You won't hear the word "Christmas" -- it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, now Darden, now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen,
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!

At the top of the Senate there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith,
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded,
The Reason for the Season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "winter break" under your "dream tree,"
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say,
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ... not Happy Holiday!

Please, all Christians join together, take a stand and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is ‘The Reason’ for the Christ-mas Season!

Fa La La La La LaLaLaLa

It is begining to look a lot like Christmas and I love this time of year!  Although, living in the northeast, it does get cold and I do not love that, but it is only a part of one of the many cycles in life.  We prepare to celebrate holidays in our home, the highlight being Christmas Eve.  The halls will be decked, we will go to church and sing as we reflect on what it must have been like on that night. May you all be blessed as you go through the preparations to make it special.  What traditions do you have with your family?

My favorite Anti Aging line is offering increased cash back for a limited time on two beautiful products.  The De-Aging Day Creme SPF 20 is now giving $13. cash back on a $65. jar.   You can order it at my cosmetics website www.timelessbeauty4u. Also  for $139.95 ($34. cashback for a limited time) is the Booster Kit.  Within this website you can also view the entire Cellular Labs De-Aging line as well as all of our most wonderful cosmetics. This luxurious line compares to a high end brand selling for more than 3 times this price at department stores.  Specials just in time for Christmas.  Don't forget to take special care of your skin this winter, it has taken care of you for all these years.

Make this day an absolutely beautiful one and do something special just for you!

Time to be Thankful

It shouldn't be that we need a day to be thankful.  I believe that we serve a God who deserves our thanks all the time.  We will sit down Thursday and eat too much food...even though we say every year we won't.  I will make more healthy versions of some of our favorites.  Well that is a step in the right direction.  I love the day, company, family, friendships, health, God's blessings.  So much to be thankful for!

I will work at not feeling stressed in my preparation for guests.  I know I will be at times, but I think I have enough ready ahead of time so it will go smoothly.  It is a good thing!  I pray you all have a wonderful celebration of the many blessings. I know there are hard times for many families, but still, this is a time to look at the blessings, because they are there.

We are entering a season where we will be running all over, doing much, visiting with family and friends.  I truly love this time of year.  May you all be blessed and work at not being stressed!

Setting Clock Back Tonight ?
There appears to be mixed feelings about this.  Personally, I am not sure which side I would be on.  I surely don’t like getting up with it so dark in the morning (generally I am a morning person).  In light of that (no pun intendedJ), does it really matter to me if it is dark at 5PM or 6PM?  Probably not.  If asked to vote on this, I suppose I would vote to keep it as we are doing; spring ahead and fall back.   Now, today will be a very long day, especially if I decide I can stay up an hour longer.
Now, how will our bodies react to this?  They will adjust as they always do.  As the days have grown shorter, we tend to snuggle in for the winter spending more time indoors.
Our skin dries out more because of the heat in our homes and the lower humidity levels.  Be sure to drink your water to hydrate your bodies (don’t forget, your skin is your largest organ).  Many of us equate drinking lots of water with the heat of the summer; we should drink just as much (if not more) during the winter months to really keep ourselves hydrated.  Dry skin, chapped lips, brittle nails are all symptoms of winter, but also of a body without enough water.  We may drink more tea, coffee, hot chocolate all with caffeine which can be debated whether or not they cause you to lose more water than they put in.   You might consider some Herbal Teas if it is hard to drink water when the weather is colder.  Just because the air is colder does not mean you should be drinking less water.  If not ice cold, just drink it at room temperature.  Keep it around so you can sip throughout the day, extra if you are drinking more caffeine.
In addition to drinking more water, we need to be sure to moisturize our skin.  For chapped lips, my recommendation is a really good lip balm or treatment without petroleum additives (available here http://www.timelessbeauty4u.biz/).  You should also make sure that you use a good moisturizer and bath/shower gel.  Take care of your skin and it will take care of you.
As you fall back, be sure to take care of yourself this winter.

Christmas is coming ...

Well, think about that.  Somehow, the summer has flown by, Halloween is just around the corner and the Christmas shelves in the stores are appearing.  This is a stressful season for many.  For your family, for your sanity, but mostly for you, make this year fly by smoothly.
To to that, you need to be starting now.  Work on preparing your menu (and if you are hosting Thanksgiving, why not sit down and work out both menus in one sitting).  When you are shopping for your Thanksgiving menu, add a few things from your Christmas baking list at the same time.  I have joined flylady.net because I found her journal "Cruising Through the Holidays" and it can be downloaded for free from (http://www.flylady.net/pages/HolidayCruising1.asp).   I love that she has it all mapped out for me to have a stress free holiday season, from getting my house in order to my shopping lists.  I plan on enjoying myself and my family this year, baby steps at a time starting right now.
Stress...causes you to gain weight, causes all sorts of health issues, causes chaos in your home and family.  If I can reduce my stress, I will look better, feel better and have a happier family.  It all starts with a decision by me.  I can achieve whatever my Lord wants me to, because he will walk me through it.  Right now, it is simply shedding a few pounds before the holidays kick in and organizing myself.  I am eating healthier (just had my tall hot lemon water to get my morning started:).  You can do whatever it is you need to do too; don't accept excuses from yourself.
It all starts with a decision.  Your beauty starts from within you, and it is timeless.  Whatever it is that you need to get done, set your goal, it will mark your course.  It will set your attitude where it needs to be to accomplish that goal.
"Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim."
1 Corinthians 9:26

Do you want to be happy?

~~If you want to be happy you need to take positive actions on your life~~
~~Get your rest. If you are having trouble sleeping at night, perhaps you need to become more active during your day!~~
~~Associate with positive people~~your associations will influence your thoughts, your actions and your attitude~~
~~Read positive books and expand your mind~~
~~Look at your accomplishments~~
~~Set goals for your life, it will give you direction, a place to aim, you will find a passion (if you aim for nothing, you will get there) how much better to be striving for a target than nothing~~
~~Gratitude, gratitude and more gratitude: write a list of things you have to be thankful for~~
~~If you get sidetracked or down, look at your list~~
~~Put on your favorite music~~
~~Take a walk outside for refreshment~~
~~Accentuate the positive--look at the bright side of things~~
Now, go and do something positive for your life and someone you love today!

Don't Sweat the small stuff

Why is it that stress and holding bitterness are linked to so many health issues?  We are told that God's grace is sufficient for us.  Sometimes we just might have to say "but how can it be?"  Back in the 1980's, if any of you remember him, Richard Simmons was very popular at encouraging people to loose weight (whether you liked him or not, he did do it).  A phrase he often used was "Don't Sweat the small stuff".  It is no wonder, stress is actually a factor that will cause weight gain.

If you are  trying to loose weight, one suggestion is to use relaxation techniques through out your day, especially when you find yourself in a stressful situation.  Weight gain, belly fat especially, is also attributed to cardiovascular disease among other illnesses and disease.  So, if you are trying to loose that extra weight you put on over the summer (from all those bbg's perhaps), one key factor is to get rid of stress in your life. Of course, you still need to eat proper nutritious food and exercise, but hanging onto stress will also hold on to the weight.

Neither is holding onto bitterness something to take lightly for your health and wellness; it is actually a cause for stress.  If you are harboring ill feelings, you need to let go.  To everything there is a season--A time to keep and a time to let go.--Ecclesiastes 3:1,6 These words were in a song back in the 60's, funny it was an anti war song I think; I never knew the lyrics were actually adapted from the Bible.  Wise words to hold on to.

Many times bitterness comes through someone in our life, from a envy or the seed of pride. There are times that it seems as though the Lord puts someone in our lives like that to see how we deal with it.  He wants to see us forbear, not hold bitterness or be judgmental.  Simple words, yet often so hard; let go and let God.  We need to just be there, to be ready for refreshment and renewal, to love and accept.  It may be you seem alone through the process, but the important thing for you to do is let God deal with it and you just keep loving while you trust He is there. Oh, that is really hard sometimes, but God does give us what we need to do that.  You may have to think on other things, to consciously focus elsewhere, but do what you have to be happy and cheerful ~~ "A cheerful heart is good medicine.--Proverbs 17:22"   Pray for strength to get through and pray for what or who ever is challenging you.  God will make a way for you.

Yes, forgiveness, love, beauty traits from within.  Timeless.

Family

Timeless Beauty 4 U... well, family is what makes this happen, really. We grow together, learn together and love together.  I guess this is my thinking today because I just arrived back home with our son following first successful year of college.  After spending a few days with my mom, realizing life is now different for us all.  My mom is wishing we were closer in distance as she is aging, I wish so too, but this is what it is for us.  As for our son, he will now  need to adjust to being back home with Mom and Dad after a year of dorm life and "freedom"; Mom and Dad will also need to adjust to having a grown man home with us.

Yes, together, family, the way God intended; "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven..." The beauty of this season awaits us.
They say beauty is only skin deep, I say beauty is God given and we allow him to work in our lives and hearts. I want my beauty to dwell in my heart...God indeed is good.

Famous Failures

May all Moms, daughters, aunts and sisters have a Beautiful Mother's Day and may the Lord richly bless you in all you do :)

The Images of Mother

8 YEARS OF AGE My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE Naturally, Mother doesn't know that either.
16 YEARS OF AGE Mother, She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE That old woman, She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 YEARS OF AGE Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE Wish I could talk it over with Mom once more.

What goes in will show in your beauty.

Are you looking to improve your lifestyle? Taking care of you from the inside out is the first step. If you are not eating properly, it will show up in so many areas of your life, weight being the obvious; add to that loss of sleep, lack of energy, self esteem are just some areas you will see impacted. We all have times that are going to cause us to fall off what we know we should be doing with our food intake. That is okay, we can all go off for a day or two or even longer if we are travelling or for various other reasons; the important thing for us to do from this is not to allow it to be a lifestyle choice but understand it to be a temporary measure that we can change.

As beautiful as Lucy was, we all know that to keep the figure she did, work is required (at least for most people I know). If you want to be beautiful outside, you must take care of you from the inside.

You can visit my mini website http://www.timelessbeauty4u.biz/.  We carry an exceptional line of cosmetics and cosemesuticals that will help with the outside, the inside is up to you.

Have a Beautiful Day my friends,

"The man who moved a mountain is the one who started taking away the small stones."

Chinese proverb

What small stones are standing in the way of your mountain?  What are you doing to remove them?  Don't let the small things in life get in the way of where you want to end up.  In every way make it a great day.
